Across IDEA Services, we are continuing to monitor the situation after a series of three earthquakes earlier this morning north-east of New Zealand.
All affected areas are working to their local emergency plans, including as-necessary evacuations.
In our services, we evacuated a number of homes in affected areas. We are supporting people to now return to their homes based on the latest advice from Civil Defence.
Staff have also been in contact with people in Supported Living to ensure they’re safe and understand what needs to happen.
If you have any specific questions about family members in our services, please speak with your local staff – but be aware they are currently working hard.
We’re currently working out what will happen if this goes on for a prolonged period of time.
