IDEA Services Update

We are seeing a hive of activity both in our services and out and about as people are enjoying reconnecting with friends and family at Alert Level 1.

We want to remind people that unless we have specific concerns about an individual’s health, visitors are welcome providing they follow our processes (such as for contract tracing).

We are continuing to update our website with images and stories about activities taking place in the community and in our services. You can see those here.

We are also getting comments and questions about the National Service Review. We want to reassure people that while change can be unsettling, we are committed to providing the best services for the people we support.

We have not made decisions and will be consulting widely on possible changes. We hope to be able to announce the process for this consultation in the weeks ahead.

We have already opened a small number of day bases for people who live with their families or with other providers.

For the people who live in our services we will continue to support them to engage in activities out and about from their homes while the review is undertaken. Therefore, not all day bases will be opening at this time.

We will keep you updated and will ensure we publish all the latest information here.
